"pickled Shrimp"

Total Time: 38 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 1/4 cup celery leaves
  • 2 tablespoons pickling spices
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 3/4 cup italian dressing (zesty)
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 drop tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon capers (add a little juice)

Recipe

  • 1 fill pot with water. add celery leaves and pickling spices. boil for at least 5 minutes. water will turn a brownish yellow. add shrimp and cook till done.
  • 2 meanwhile, combine all other ingredients in a non metal containe with lid. peel cooked shrimp while warm and add to container. place in refrigerator over night.
  • 3 serve with crackers -- remember to bring to room temperature.
