Shanghainese Prawns

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 6 -8 deshelled large shrimp
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green chili
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (cornflour)
  • 1/2 cup spring onion, whites (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon lighlty roasted sesame seeds

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in a wok saute green chillies n garlic for a few seconds.
  • 2 add spring onion whites
  • 3 add prawns and conntinue stirring.
  • 4 add vinegar ,tomato sauce and soy sauce.
  • 5 add cornflour starch toss in greens of spring onion and bean sprouts
  • 6 drizzle sesame oil over it stirring all the while
  • 7 cook for 30 seconds.
  • 8 sprinkle sesame seeds n serve hot with noodles or rice.
