Shrimp A La Fong

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 ounces mild lamb sausage
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 ounce black bean sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 12 ounces raw peeled shrimp, cut in half
  • 1 teaspoon gin
  • 1 large green pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 large onion, sliced into thin wedges
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon catsup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon accent seasoning (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet cook lamb sausage,garlic,black bean till meat is browned.
  • 2 add curry powder,shrimp;cook till shrimp turns pink.add gin,green pepper, onion and chicken broth. bring to the boil, cover and simmer 3 minutes.stir in catsup, salt, sugar and accent.
  • 3 blend 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water; add to shrimp mixture. cook and stir till mixture thickens and boils.
  • 4 add tomatoes; cover and cook 1 minute more.
  • 5 serve with rice.
