Honey Bagoong Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup bagoong, alamang or 1/4 cup shrimp sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons bagoong, alamang or 2 teaspoons shrimp sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water

Recipe

  • 1 marinate wings in a mixture of shrimp sauce and honey, at least 30 minutes, but longer is preferred.
  • 2 to make the glaze, cook honey, shrimp sauce and water until syrupy.
  • 3 coat the wings in flour and shake off excess; fry 8-10 minutes in hot oil, then drain on paper toweling.
  • 4 drizzle with syrup.
