brandied shrimp with pasta

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (16 ounce) package dry fettuccini noodles
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup dry white
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

    Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Ready Time: 35 mins

  • bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. saute shrimp until pink. stir in green onions, garlic and . carefully ignite with a match, or the gas flame. cook for 2 minutes. add chopped tomatoes, and cook 2 minutes. stir in and butter, and season with basil, salt and pepper. cook for 3 minutes. stir in parmesan. toss with pasta until evenly coated.
