New Orleans Bbq Shrimp

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 7 lbs large shrimp
  • 1 cup real butter
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lemons (sliced thin)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 3 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • salt and pepper, to tast

Recipe

  • 1 wash the shrimp well. you do not need to peel the shrimp.
  • 2 spread shrimp out in a baking dish.
  • 3 combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. let simmer for 10 minutes, then pour over shrimp.
  • 4 mix well and refrigerate. baste and turn the shrimp every 30 minutes and let refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
  • 5 preheat oven to 300 and bake for 30 minutes. turn the shrimp every ten minutes.
  • 6 i like to serve this with a good french bread to dip into the sauce.
